Chugai Mining Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2017. For the quarter, the company announced revenue of JPY 14,283 million against JPY 10,681 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 560 million against JPY 172 million a year ago. Recurring profit was JPY 544 million against JPY 156 million a year ago. Net profit was JPY 504 million or JPY 1.74 per share against JPY 82 million or JPY 0.29 per share a year ago.
The company provided consolidated earnings guidance for the first six months and for the full year for the year ending March 31, 2018. For the first six months, the company expects to report revenue of JPY 35,750 million, operating profit of JPY 580 million, declared profit of JPY 540 million and current net profit of JPY 460 million or JPY 1.59 per share.
For the full year, the company expects to report revenue of JPY 70,500 million, operating profit of JPY 660 million, declared profit of JPY 590 million and current net profit of JPY 420 million or JPY 1.45 per share.

The Precious Metal segment is engaged in the sale of precious metals, artifacts and jewelries, the production and sale of gold, silver, platinum and palladium, as well as the purchase and sale of nonferrous metals which contain gold and silver. The Real Estate segment is involved in the subdivision and leasing of condominium buildings, as well as the trading, brokerage, leasing, management and planning development of real estate. The Machinery segment purchases and sells used machine tools, sheet metal machines and others. The Investment segment is engaged in the possession, trading and operation of securities. The Content segment plans, designs, manufactures, and sells toys and play equipment, and sells, wholesales, plans, and develops character products.
