At 12:00 January 16 (local time), Unit 1 of CNEEC's SUMSEL-5 2x150MW coal-fired power plant had been completed safely for 168 hours. Meanwhile, the operation of the 100% load rejection island of Unit 1 succeeded at one go at 13:08pm January 18 local time. So far, Unit 1 of the project has successfully undergone all the tests except for the performance test.

During the 168-hour safe operation of Unit 1, the boiler burned steadily, the steam turbine featured good vibration characteristics as well as production and technical indicators, and all major systems and parameters were within the scope of design, gaining recognition from the project owner and supervisor. In addition, the operation of 100% load rejection island that has certain difficulty was also completed at one go.

Currently, Unit 2 has been connected to grid and undergone 85% load test run, and the project team will try all out to complete the follow-up work, striving to provide the owner with a high-quality and high-level power station and make contributions to the sustainable development of CNEEC in the electric power market of Indonesia.
