Chia Yi Steel Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 173.784 million compared to TWD 219.426 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 12.106 million compared to TWD 5.454 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 6.293 million compared to TWD 26.103 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.14 compared to TWD 0.58 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was TWD 523.731 million compared to TWD 719.415 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 52.250 million compared to TWD 13.802 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 39.034 million compared to TWD 31.398 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.86 compared to TWD 0.7 a year ago.
CHIA YI STEEL CO., LTD. is principally engaged in the forging, processing and distribution of casting iron products. The Company primarily involves in the manufacture and precision processing of iron products, which are applied in mechanical parts, electric motor parts, automobile parts, oil pressure parts and other hardware and spare parts, among others. The Company also offers molds and customer-tailored precision processing services. The Company distributes its products mainly in Asia, the Americas and other regions.
