CAMIL Alimentos S/A announced earnings results for the third quarter ended November 30, 2018. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was BRL 1,266.836 million compared to BRL 1,159.163 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 150.295 million compared to BRL 71.909 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was BRL 0.3715 compared to BRL 0.1754 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was BRL 3,416.838 million compared to BRL 3,546.607 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 261.926 million compared to BRL 173.425 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was BRL 0.6475 compared to BRL 0.4229 a year ago.
Camil Alimentos SA is a Brazil-based company primarily engaged in the food processing sector. The Company focuses on the manufacture and commercialization of rice, rice crackers, beans, peas, chickpeas and lentil seeds, soybean-based meals, popcorn, sugar and seafood, among others. The Company's products are distributed under various brand names, including Camil, Pescador, Coqueiro, Uniao, Barra, Dolce, Namorado, Butui, Bonzao, Neve and Ducula in Brazil; Saman in Uruguay; Tucapel in Chile, as well as Costeno and Paisana in Peru. The Company operates grain processing units, fish processing plants and sugar mills. The Company controls a number of subsidiaries, such as Camil Internacional Argentina SA, Carreteiro Industria e Comercio de Alimentos Ltda and Ciclo Logistica Ltda.
