Cambi ASA announced the award of its first project in Israel for a thermal hydrolysis process (THP) system to treat solids from a wastewater treatment facility in the city of Be'er Sheva. Cambi's solution was selected because of its reliability, performance, and affordabilit y in operations. Thermal hydrolysis, followed by anaerobic digestion, will enable water utility company Mei Sheva to address urban growth in the region, which currently has more than 240,000 residents.

The THP unit from Cambi will convert solids from Be'er Sheva's wastewater treatment facility into renewable energy and exceptional quality biosolids for local reuse. The contract comprises the THP system and ancillary equipment such as digester coolers, a silo and a steam boiler. The project is scheduled for site delivery in the first quarter of 2025.
