CAE Mining and Geovariances announce exclusive collaboration

·         Geovariances' geostatistical libraries to enhance CAE Mining resource evaluation solutions

Montreal, Canada, January 20, 2014 - CAE Mining and Geovariances announced today a collaboration agreement which gives CAE Mining exclusive access to Geovariances' geostatistical libraries for the global mining sector. Through this agreement, CAE Mining will add sophisticated geostatistical tools to its resource evaluation solutions and extend their capabilities. The initial roadmap of functionality will include uniform conditioning, advanced conditional simulation techniques and elements of estimation. The jointly developed solutions will be made available in the new CAE Summit cloud platform and CAE Studio for desktop application users.

"This collaboration will allow CAE Mining to seamlessly embed the latest resource estimation algorithms and techniques in our flagship software applications, making more comprehensive solutions available to thousands of customers around the world," said Damian McKay, President of CAE Mining.

"Partnering with CAE Mining is another excellent route to market for Geovariances' technology, complementing existing standalone products such as Isatis, our benchmark software solution for mining geostatistics," said Yves Touffait, CEO of Geovariances.

The first commercial release of the Geovariances functionality within the CAE Mining product suite is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2014.
