Blue Star Limited Receives Order from Deputy Commissioner, State Tax, Jaipur Alleging Contravention Under Section 73, Section 50 and Section 20 of Central Goods and Service Tax Act/Rajasthan Goods and Service Tax Act

Blue Star Limited has received an Order dated April 25, 2024 from Deputy Commissioner, State Tax, Jaipur alleging contravention under Section 73, Section 50 and Section 20 of Central Goods and Service Tax Act/Rajasthan Goods and Service Tax Act. The Order stipulates tax liability amounting to INR 413,742, Interest of INR 409,605 and a penalty of INR 41,374 aggregating to a demand of INR 864,721. The said demand pertains to GST Audit conducted by Rajasthan state GST Department for the period 2018 - 2019.

The demand is raised in relation to mismatch of Input Tax Credit (ITC) and ITC disallowance on GST paid under Reverse Charge Mechanism and ITC reversal.
