Barco was at last week's 51st Paris Air Show at Le Bourget in Paris with our technology partners Dassault Systèmes and Immersion. They gladly relied on our LED-lit video walls and our CAVE displays, respectively, to power their immersive VR environments.

Dassault: Visualization to help personalize aircraft cabin design

3D leader French Dassault Systèmes recently launched its 'Passenger Experience'; a solution that helps jet OEMs, completion centers, suppliers and airlines to profitably deliver customized cabin interiors. At the heart of the 'Passenger Experience' solution is Dassault's high-end 3D visualization technology and interactive content, which help transform engineering data into powerful, visual 3D design, marketing and sales applications that address all aspects of the cabin design experience. On show at the Dassault booth in Paris was a sales configurator based on a recent proof of concept for seat manufacturer Recaro. The 3D images came to life on two Barco OL-521 LED-lit displays.

Immersion: compact, digital immersive environment

Immersion, for its part, presented its Diiice (Digital Immersive and Compact Environment) - a fully packaged solution that includes a three-sided, immersive, compact environment. Diiice has revolutionized the VR environment standard, offering a compact immersive experience to dive into the heart of digital mock-ups. The Diiice set-up at the Paris Air Show featured a Barco S4 cave, including three F35 projectors.
