Colleferro 03 August 2023- On July 12 2023 the European Commission announced that the project HYDIS2 has been positively evaluated. The project brings together Defence groups, institutions, SMEs, mid-caps and universities and gathers the best competences in the domains of missiles from across the European Union. France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands have already confirmed their support and commitment by signing a Letter of Intent and agreeing on Initial Common Requirements. The HYDIS consortium is coordinated by MBDA.

The objective of HYDIS² is to study various interceptor concepts and mature the associated critical technologies to deliver the best counter-hypersonic and anti-ballistic interception solution that fulfils the four Member States needs and copes with the European PESCO TWISTER capability programme.

Avio is part of the consortium with other 18 partners and 30 subcontractors. The company will give its contribution in providing the European Armed Forces with the most innovative propulsion solutions, confirming its role as leader in the propulsion sector.
