Laboratory Engineer

Would you like to work on producing essential diagnostic products at one of Stockholm's friendliest biotech companies? IDL Biotech is now looking for a production technician/production engineer for its production of rapid diagnostic tests for healthcare. We are looking for someone with practical experience in production work within, for example, medicine or biotechnology, who enjoys working practically with varied tasks at a smaller company.

Job Duties

As a production technician/production engineer, you will be part of a production department of 5 people. Your primary task will be the manufacturing of components for IDL Biotech's rapid diagnostic tests in oncology and bacteriology. The department works closely with several other departments, including quality control and order logistics. Reporting will be to the company's production manager.

The position includes the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • Laboratory work such as solution preparation, coupling and purification of antibodies, reagent preparation, and dispensing.
  • Handling deviation investigations, change cases, and validations according to our QMS.
  • Receiving and inspecting incoming goods and registering deliveries.
  • Packing kit components into finished kits.
  • Transport packing of kits. Shipping kits from the warehouse.
  • Maintenance of the production department's equipment and premises.
  • Some inventory management and inventory reporting in internal systems.
  • Optimization of production processes.

For the right person, there are good development opportunities in other areas as well.

Education/Experience

We are looking for someone who has substantial experience in production manufacturing and/or has extensive experience in practical laboratory work. Knowledge and experience in GMP and ISO 13485 are advantageous. A requirement is that you can express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English and have good knowledge of Word and Excel. Experience working with deviation management, change cases, and improvement work is advantageous.
