Arm Holdings CEO Rene Haas has shown unwavering confidence in his company's growth despite mixed forecasts. He revealed that, far from being daunted by what is shaping up to be a more modest fiscal year, Arm is forecasting growth in excess of 20% for the current year, building on a previous record year.

Haas highlighted Arm's central role in the expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructures, a sector he considers to be in its infancy. He spoke of the potential applications of AI in various fields, such as healthcare and pharmaceutical research, and emphasised the energy efficiency of Arm's products, a major asset for data centres.

Speaking of smartphones, Haas noted solid growth thanks to and addressed geopolitical challenges, including US restrictions affecting Huawei, but said this had no direct impact on Arm.

Looking ahead, Haas shared his vision of a diverse and innovation-rich Windows ecosystem in which Arm would play a leading role. He concluded by rejecting the idea of AI being overvalued, seeing it instead as a technological revolution in the making.
