Missouri American Water assists more than 800 Customers in 2012 through the H2O Help to Others Program

ST. LOUIS, Mo., (January 28, 2013) - More than 800 residential customers throughout Missouri received financial assistance in 2012 to help with payment of their water bills through a partnership between Missouri American Water and the state's Community Action Agencies. The support came through H2O Help to Others, the company's customer assistance program, which is administered by the Community Action Agencies.
The H2O Help to Others program is supported by the company and Missouri American Water customers who can voluntarily make contributions through their water bills. In 2012, about
$94,000 was disbursed to Missouri American Water customers who met the Community Action Agencies' criteria. Information about the program and how to donate to it is included on the back of Missouri American Water bills.
"We are committed to supporting our customers who need assistance throughout the state," said Frank Kartmann, president of Missouri American Water. "For seven years, this program has helped customers pay their water bills in times of need."
