DC Two Limited ("DC Two" or the "Company") announced that work has begun to bring the Bibra Lake data centre online early and become fully operational by April 2021. This will allow customers to gain access to the data centre and cloud services sooner, while accelerating commercialisation and expansion plans. The Stage 1 deployment will be powered and cooled by fully redundant, completely independent and Tier III compliant systems with the Stage 1 components becoming "a data centre within a data centre". The Stage 1 components will be tested and used to maintain ideal environmental conditions suitable for continuous and reliable operations while the final Tier III deployment (Stage 2) is completed independently alongside the Stage 1 components, providing complete autonomy from each other. Following the completion and accreditation of the Tier III facility (Stage 2), the vast majority of the Stage 1 components can be easily reconfigured to provide additional scale, capacity and redundancies for future growth, enabling the company to generate revenue sooner while simultaneously protecting critical capital and minimising waste. Demand for DC Two cloud and data centre services remains strong and the decision to bring Bibra Lake online early was a direct result of this interest. Feedback from current and future customers, along with Reseller Partners, also indicated potential demand to be hosted within the facility. The Company estimates that first revenue for Bibra Lake could now potentially be achieved in April 2021. Customers will be able to procure communications via either Vocus or Telstra with fully redundant dual path connectivity already installed for both carriers with negotiations continuing to secure connectivity with other carriers. It is important to note that any customer equipment hosted at Bibra Lake during the Stage 1 deployment will not have to be physically moved once the site becomes Tier III accredited. Upon completion of Tier III accreditation, it is expected that DC Two will become the only data centre provider in Western Australia with its own Tier III accredited data centre and cloud platforms. The Bibra Lake data centre will become the cornerstone of DC2's offering and underpin its nationwide expansion of data centre and cloud services. The facility will also enable the company to secure Tier 3 accreditation and secure mid-market and enterprise customers requiring Tier 3 compliance and security.
