Import prices in the United States remained stable in December, following a 0.5% decline the previous month, according to the Labor Department.

Prices of imported petroleum products fell by 0.3% in December, following a 6.4% decline in November.

For the year 2023 as a whole, import prices fell by 1.6%.

At the same time, export prices fell by 0.9% in December, posting a decline of 3.2% for 2023 as a whole.
