The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Thursday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed. The loonie was trading 0% lower at C$1.3706 to the greenback, or 72.96 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3666 to 1.3712. Canadian government 10-year bond yields rose 5.5 basis points to 3.863%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.7185%. U.S. June crude futures rose 12 cents to $82.93 a barrel on Thursday.
