Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Ser : New "Fresh From Florida" Marketing Campaign Starts Monday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - An advertising campaign featuring a variety of 'Fresh From Florida' produce and seafood recipes that are quick and easy to make kicks off Monday. The marketing campaign includes television commercials, digital ads, outdoor billboards and grocery cart advertising to promote the state's fresh and wholesome agriculture and seafood products and the 'Fresh From Florida' brand.

'Florida is blessed to produce some of the best fruits, vegetables and seafood in the world,' said Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam. 'This advertising campaign shows that there are so many ways to cook quick and easy meals for your friends or family that feature 'Fresh From Florida' ingredients.'

The items featured in this year's campaign include: avocados, squash, tomatoes, sweet corn, grouper, mushrooms, watermelon, shrimp, bell peppers, blueberries, beef, strawberries, clams and citrus.

Research indicates that consumers want easy recipes to make healthy meals for themselves and their families. The recipes featured in the commercials were developed by Chef Justin Timineri, Florida's Culinary Ambassador, with this in mind. The commercials, available in English and Spanish, prove that a fresh, healthy meal can be served, even on busy weeknights.

The television commercials will air statewide on all major network and cable television stations in all of Florida's 10 media markets: Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Tallahassee, Pensacola, Gainesville and Panama City.

Commercials will air in programs like The Today Show, Good Morning America, Rachael Ray, Jeopardy, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, The Good Wife, NCIS, Scandal, The Voice and the Academy Awards, as well as on The Food Network, HGTV, Lifetime, OWN and the Travel Channel.
