PENSACOLA, FL--(Marketwired - Jan 10, 2014) - Bowhead Systems Management LLC (BSM, commonly known as Bowhead), announced that its Agile Division has earned the Carnegie Mellon® Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model® Integration -- (CMMI) for Services (CMMI-SVC, v1.3) -- Maturity Level 3. The CMMI is one of the highest quality standards for companies worldwide. BSM is one of only 35 companies in the United States that has achieved this maturity level in Services. It is also the first Alaska Native Corporation to accomplish this level of quality achievement in this category.

According to Cary Randolph, Vice President of Bowhead Systems Management's Agile Division, the rating was achieved by demonstrating consistent and stringent attention to detail to best practice processes in the areas of service delivery, work management, supplier management, capacity and availability management, and quality management.

CMMI is considered to be one of the most widely accepted and adopted process improvement models by organizations worldwide. CMMI benefits organizations with overall improved performance, including decreased costs, higher on-time delivery, greater productivity, and improved quality.

BSM's Agile Division continues to set the bar very high, having also received the CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV v1.3) Level 3 rating on May 23, 2012. According to Michael Bradshaw, President of Bowhead Systems Management, LLC, "We are very proud to have earned another CMMI Level 3 rating, and we will continue to work tirelessly towards providing our customers with the highest quality products and services."
