Tim Flanagan

Mr. Timothy Flanagan, CFA MBA, is a Senior Data Scientist at Columbia Management Investment Advisers LLC.
He is responsible for the development and ongoing operations of an advanced analytic capability supporting the Investment area.
Prior to May 2018, he was a senior analyst in the investment oversight group and a member of the 5P team that worked to ensure the integrity of the organization’s investment strategies.
From 2007 to 2014, Mr. Flanagan was an associate portfolio manager for the global rates and currency strategies.
He was also previously employed at one of the Columbia Threadneedle Investments legacy firms from 1999 to 2004 as a senior business analyst on the fixed-income support team.
He re-joined the organization in July 2007 after leaving to teach English from 2005-2006 in Anhui, China and working as a business development consultant from January to July 2007 at RI Group, an investment bank in Beijing, China.
Mr. Flanagan holds a B.A.
in economics from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A.
with a concentration in finance from the University of St. Thomas.
He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2009.
