As a Managing Director at Mercato Partners’ Traverse Growth Fund, Ryan is currently involved with Atomic Financial, Lendio, ObservePoint, and Stance and prior board roles included Galileo Financial Technologies, SaltStack, and Central Logic.?His deep experience in entrepreneurship, operations, and growth capital provides a firm foundation for his work building Mercato’s portfolio and brand to support growth companies.
In addition to his business skills, Ryan brings strong networks and insights from time spent in Utah, Texas, and the Pacific Northwest which are each targets as underserved and undercapitalized geographies.
Prior to Mercato, Ryan operated as a principal at Escalate Capital Partners, a leading mezzanine capital firm focused on investing in high-growth, late-stage technology companies.
Before Escalate, Ryan helped Comcast launch its next-generation X1 platform in his role as the business operations manager with Comcast Converged Products.?Ryan began his career as a founder and board member of Calixus Networks, a venture-backed software company in the online media industry that was eventually sold to the Media News Group.
Ryan was gifted his entrepreneurial passion from his parents and his father continues as an entrepreneur in the medical field to this day.
Ryan earned a B.S.
from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A.
from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
Ryan was recently awarded the Kauffman Fellowship (Class 26) by the Kansas City-based Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
