Oliver joined Equistone in 2021 to help accelerate and further improve performance across our UK portfolio.
Prior to this he was brought in as a turnaround CEO of Gaucho & CAU restaurants, a former Equistone-backed portfolio company.
Previously, he was CEO of Maplin Electronics, having joined as commercial director in 2012 when under Montagu Private Equity’s ownership.
Oliver started his career at Bain & Company in London and Australia, before becoming strategy director at Somerfield Supermarkets in 2006 when it was under private equity ownership.
After a successful exit of Somerfield to the Cooperative Group in 2009, Oliver became operations director for Miller & Carter Steakhouses, part of Mitchells & Butlers Plc.
Oliver graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Economics & Politics.
