In View AB (dba ippi ab) was founded in 2003 by Kjell Lindén and Mats Segerström and is a spin-out from Ericsson. Based on experience from mobile telephony, broadband and communication in the home, the management of In View have created a solution for interactivity and communication with over two billion television receivers globally. The customers include mobile operators, postal services and healthcare organisations. The ippi enables electronic communication for everyone, also elderly and persons with disabilities, via an ordinary TV. With ippi any TV can receive and send information to all mobiles phones and computers by using GSM networks. Ippi together with the ippi-central webservice is a communication platform for providers of home-care and nursing homes services. The solution enables two-way communication between care-providers and their clients. Care providers may interact with clients, distribute information and ask questions to individuals or groups of clients. The solution enables e-inclusion and may service as a means to provide e-services to persons not capable of using computers.
