James N. Martin

Mr. Martin has extensive sales and management experience in the institutional research sales and investment banking industry.
Prior to joining Tano Capital, Mr. Martin served as Managing Director and Head of US Research Sales for Wells Fargo Securities.
From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Martin served as Managing Director, Head of West Coast Sales for Deutsche Bank Securities, a leading global investment bank.
After Deutsche Bank’s acquisition of Bankers Trust/Alex Brown in 1999, he had responsibility for integrating the combined offices and recruiting staff to replace personnel losses.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Martin was a VP of Institutional Research Sales and leading producer for Cowen & Co. (1995-1997), Hambrecht & Quist (1993-1995), and Montgomery Securities (1983-1992).
Mr. Martin received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics, with a minor in Political Science, from Iowa State University in 1981.
His licenses include Series 7, 9 & 10 (NASD Supervisory Principal) and 63.
He also serves as a Managing Member of the Barclays Global Investors 32 Capital Fund LLC.
