Craig Pheiffer

Mr. Craig Pheiffer is a Chief investment Strategist at Sasfin Asset Managers Pty Ltd.
He began his career as an investment professional at Frankel Kruger stockbrokers in 1990.
Over the next 10 years he worked variously as a Systems Analyst in the Fixed Income Division, a Fixed Income Portfolio Advisor and a dealer on the open outcry bond trading floor.
During this time he was involved in Institutional Bond Sales, Primary Dealing and Market Making (for a short period with Société Générale).
In 2000 he was appointed Chief Investment Strategist at Sasfin Frankel Pollak Securities and was the director responsible for investment strategy and research.
In July 2007 he was appointed the head of Absa Asset Management Private Clients, one of the business units within Absa Investments.
In 2016 he was appointed Chief Investment Strategist of Absa Stockbrokers and Portfolio Management following the merger of Absa Stockbrokers and Absa Portfolio Managers.
He served as a Key Individual and Representative on that Financial Services Provider licence and as a member of the Executive Committees of Absa Investments and Absa Wealth Management.
He also served as a director of Absa Portfolio Managers (Pty) Ltd and Fradey Nominees (Pty) Ltd.
He studied at the University of the Witwatersrand and Unisa graduating with a BSc Computer Science (Wits), and a BCom, BCom Hons and an MCom (cum laude) in Economics (Unisa).
He is also a CFA Charter Holder and a member of the CFA Institute.
