He began his career in the French Treasury department where he oversaw French overseas investments.
From 1994 to 1996 he worked on the privatisations of Renault, UAP, AGF, and Seita (Altadis).
He then spent two years at the French Embassy in London as Attaché to Ministry of Finance before joining Renault in 1998 as the head of investor relations and member of the finance executive committee.
In 2000, he launched Caradisiac, France’s leading automotive information used-car buying and selling website.
Mr. Bannel graduated from the French National School of Administration (1992).
He is also the author of three successful novels published by Robert Laffont and translated into several languages.
