Dr. El-Kholy joined SHUAA Asset Management in April, 2007 as Chief Investment Officer and Fund Manager.
Prior to that, he joined the Arab Capital Markets team at United Bank of Kuwait in London in 1996, having previously worked at IC-Parc advising clients on optimising operations and logistics.
The team at United Bank of Kuwait ran the first pan-Arab equities fund, covering markets from Morocco to Oman.
As Senior Fund Manager at PrimeCorp Investment Management in London Dr. El-Kholy played a key role in launching and managing the Arab Gateway Fund in partnership with SHUAA Capital psc in 1999.
He was one of the founders of Parc Technologies Ltd.
a high-tech optimisation solutions company which was acquired by CISCO Systems Inc. in 2004.
Dr. El-Kholy joined the National Bank of Dubai in 2004 to set up the bank’s asset management activities, launching the Gulf Balanced Fund, the best performing GCC fund during that period, and the NBD Mena Fund which covered the Arab Markets and Turkey.
Dr. El-Kholy holds Master of Engineering degree and a PhD from Imperial College, University of London.
