Chilena Consolidada Seguros Generales SA is a Chile-based company primarily engaged in the insurance sector. The Company's range of insurance and reinsurance carriers include life, health, travel assistance, liability, property and automobile insurance aimed at individuals and such industry sectors as food, metallurgy, construction, engineering and transport, among others. The Company is also involved in the provision of leasing financing and annuity plans. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated a network of branches located in the municipalities of Santiago, Arica, Iquique, Calama, Antofagasta, Copiapo, Curico and Osorno, Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas, Vina del Mar and Valdivia, among others. In addition, the Company is a member of the Zurich Insurance Group, where in turn Inversiones Suizo Chilena SA was its majority shareholder with 82.73% of its interest.
