Zero Gravity Solutions, Inc. and The International Institute Of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) jointly announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between IITA and ZGSI's wholly owned, UK-based subsidiary, Zero Gravity Solutions Ltd. (ZGSL). The objective of the MOU is to implement specific research projects to increase agricultural production, food security, and sustainable agricultural intensification with a special emphasis on Sub-Saharan Africa. This research partnership will utilize ZGSI's proprietary BAM-FX technology, an ionic, micronutrient and mineral delivery system for plants, which was originally developed for NASA's human spaceflight program and is now being applied to agriculture here on Earth.

Field trials with end user growers in multiple US States on a variety of crops continue to be undertaken on an ongoing basis. Preliminary results from these trials indicated that BAM-FX has a beneficial effect on crop yield, including rooting, greater biomass, higher chlorophyll reactivity and increased sugar content. BAM-FX is able to systemically deliver minerals such as zinc and copper and other micronutrients into the cells of plants without Genetic Modification.
