Wotif.com Holdings Limited : Top Tassie Spots in 2011

HOBART - 9 January 2012: Hobart held on to its spot in the 2011 Australian top 10 destinations list, compiled by leading accommodation website Wotif.com.

The list is based on more than 250,000 bookings per month by Wotif.com customers in 2011.

General Manager Wotif Brands Megan Magill said the main change to the Tasmanian 2011 top 10 list compared to 2010, was Bicheno and Freycinet changing places.

"Most Tassie destinations managed to maintain their grip on their 2010 places in the state's top ten list," Ms Magill said.

"The only real change was Bicheno sneaking up a place to ninth," she said.

Queensland continued to be the most represented state, with eight destinations in the top 20.

Australia's Top 20 destinations list was compiled based on bookings made through Wotif.com during 2011 and included a mix of capital cities and regional areas.
