Vidullanka PLC (COSE:VLL.N0000) and WindForce PLC (COSE:WIND.N0000) agreed to acquire an additional 33.4?% stake in Solar Universe (Pvt) Ltd for LKR 370 million on July 11, 2024. A cash consideration of LKR 370 million will be paid by Vidullanka PLC and WindForce PLC. As part of consideration, LKR 370 million is paid towards common equity of Solar Universe (Pvt) Ltd. Upon completion, Vidullanka PLC will own 50.% stake in Solar Universe (Pvt) Ltd.

Its segments include Wind, Solar, Hydro, Overseas, Holding, and Automotive. Its wind power plants/projects include Seguwantivu, Powergen, Beta Power, Joule Power and Hiruras Power. The Company's solar plants/projects include Solar One, Vydexa, Suryadhanavi, Sunny Clime and Hirujanani. Its hydro power plants/projects include Energy Reclamation, Terraqua International, Gurugoda Hydro, and Terraqua Kokawita. It owns and operates approximately 29 power plants with a total installed capacity of approximately 230.1 megawatts (MW), with Sri Lanka accounting for 58 % of the capacity (132.8 MW) and Uganda, Pakistan, and Ukraine accounting for the remainder.
