Visteon Corporation announced the opening a new software development center in a 5,000-square meter facility in Timisoara’s new ISHO Offices building, part of the ISHO campus. Starting initial operations in November 2018, the center will primarily be engaged in software development for advanced cockpit electronics products – including digital instrument clusters, infotainment and information displays – and will support the development of new technologies for connected and autonomous driving. The Timisoara center will operate as an integral part of Visteon’s European product development footprint, which also includes development centers in Germany, Bulgaria, France and the UK. Supporting both European and global automaker programs, the Timisoara center will play a leading role in software and product development for the next generation of technology for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving applications.
