The Produce for Better Health Foundation Recognizes Philadelphia-area ShopRite Dietitian
Keasbey, NJ (March 27, 2014) - ShopRite is pleased to announce that Amber Badeau, Registered Dietitian (RD) is a recipient of The Produce for Better Health Foundation's 2013 Retail Dietitian of the Year award.
Ms. Badeau serves as the in-store dietitian at the ShopRite of Front and Olney located in Philadelphia. In her role, she provides free nutrition counseling to customers, hosts a series of healthy cooking classes, offers healthy and delicious recipes and meal planning for busy families, holds seminars on pantry makeovers, and even conducts tours for shoppers looking to improve their health.
As part of ShopRite's Retail Dietitian team, Ms. Badeau is one of more than eighty Registered Dietitians who serve ShopRite stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Maryland. ShopRite's Retail Dietitians offer customers nutrition advice, meal planning and proper eating for specific medical conditions and healthy lifestyles.
Before joining ShopRite, Ms. Badeau received her Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. Later she completed her dietetic internship and Master's Degree in Nutrition from the University of Buffalo. Throughout her career, Ms. Badeau has maintained an active status with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; in addition, she is a member of her local chapter, the Philadelphia Dietetic Association.
The Produce for Better Health Foundation recognized Ms. Badeau at the 2014 annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on March 19. March is widely known as National Nutrition Month, making it the perfect time for this special recognition.
