Victoria PLC (LSE: VCP) the AIM-listed international designers, manufacturers and distributors of innovative floorcoverings, is pleased to announce that Executive Chairman, Geoff Wilding has been awarded Entrepreneur of the Year at the Grant Thornton Quoted Company Awards in recognition of the transformation of Company.
Geoff held off strong competition from, Graham Barnet of Sigma Capital, Darrin Disley of Horizon Discovery, Rod Jones of Proactis and Stephen O'Hara of Optibiotix to pick up the award held in London's Natural History museum on Wednesday 27 January 2016.
Over the last year Victoria has seen a 180% share price gain on the back of the Board's strong cash management and solid acquisition led strategy. In 2015, the Group achieved underlying revenue growth totaling 79.7% and returns on net operating assets of 15.3% (7.7%: 2014).
The company's strategy of building scale through targeted acquisitions, then using that increased size to extract meaningful operational synergies, is designed to build a solid, cash-generating business that will produce further substantial returns for shareholders.
On winning the award, Geoff Wilding commented:

This latest accolade follows Victoria's recent triumph of being awarded Best AIM Company Achievement Award 2016 by Shares magazine, the Corporate Development Award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and Best Performing Share at the AIM Awards 2015.
