LEXINGTON, Ky., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VirtualHealth Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VHGI) today unveiled the framework for how it plans to take advantage of the availability of nearly 20 billion dollars in federal funding that is part of the House Appropriations Committee's $825 billion economic stimulus proposal.

"The modernization of our healthcare system has been an excruciatingly slow process for too many years. Historically the catalyst in jump-starting the adoption of any technology, in the physician practice market space, is the support and participation of the federal government. It is with great anticipation that we look forward to the 20 billion dollars that has been proposed for Healthcare Technology Improvement as part of the 825 billion dollar stimulus package before Congress," stated Jim Renfro, VirtualHealth Technologies, Inc. President. "It is our firm belief that one of the key issues in moving forward is going to be the subject of privacy and security, the public does not only expect, but demands that their personal information be kept secure," Renfro continued, "VirtualHealth has very aggressive plans for 2009 to introduce a new array of products, addressing these issues to our practice management customers in MOS and it is anticipated that the incentives provided by this proposed federal funding will accelerate the adoption into our customer base."

Medical Office Software (MOS) is a subsidiary of VirtualHealth Technologies, Inc. and serves over 1500 physician practice clients nationwide with tools to assist in both managing and enhancing the revenue of those practices. The first of the new product line will include a fully integrated practice management and electronic medical record solution newly designed exclusively for MOS and is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2009. Additional products will include secure messaging and patient portal technologies that will enhance the communication between physicians and their patients.
