Veidekke Entreprenør AS has been awarded the contract to build the second stage of the Eventyrtunet housing project, close to Lørenskog Storsenter near Oslo. Now 145 flats in three buildings will be built, in addition to the development of infrastructure. The principal is Olav Thon Gruppen through Thongård AS. The project is a turnkey contract valued at NOK 250 million excluding VAT.

"The Eventyrtunet housing project is divided into three stages. We started building the first 89 flats in the summer of 2012. While these are being completed, we have now started the second construction stage. This comprises 145 flats with a total floor area of 16,500 m2. These are distributed over three buildings varying from four to seven storeys over a communal parking cellar," says Odd Arne Lian, head of department with Veidekke.

The flats will range in size from 28 to 140 m2, and all residents will have access to a car-free park-like outdoor area with lawns and plants. Eventyrtunet is centrally located in Lørenskog municipality, 15 minutes from downtown Oslo and less than 10 minutes from Lillestrøm.

The buildings will have pile foundations directly on bedrock. They will be built in concrete with façades of plaster, wood and glass/windows. Work is to be completed by the second quarter of 2015.
