Effective March 17, 2016, Valhi, Inc. board of directors increased the size of its board from seven to eight and elected Elisabeth C. Fisher and Mary A. Tidlund to fill an existing vacancy and the newly created vacancy, each to serve as a director until her successor is elected and qualified or her earlier resignation, removal or death. In addition, each of Fisher and Tidlund were appointed to the registrant's audit committee.
