Ulta Beauty has tapped Michelle Crossan-Matos as its chief marketing officer.

Crossan-Matos is a former marketing leader for Samsung Electronics America, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

In her role she will direct loyalty, store design, consumer insights, public relations as well as all integrated marketing and retail media activities.

Crossan-Matos has also served as CMO for Vertu, a mobile-phone company, as well as brand leadership roles at Procter & Gamble Co.
