Tsubakimoto Chain (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan. President: Isamu Osa) announces that it has established an automotive parts manufacturing subsidiary in Mexico.
Purpose
As a manufacturer of automotive engine timing chain drive systems* with six production bases located in markets around the world, Tsubakimoto Chain supplies systems to domestic automotive manufacturers located in Japan, United States, the UK, Thailand, China, and South Korea.
The new company will participate in the remarkable progress of automotive manufacturers from Japan and other countries that are establishing manufacturing footholds in Mexico. In addition to enhancing the production and supply structure for this market, this company will serve as a production hub for the emerging South American market and a global parts procurement base.
*These systems function as an effective means of maintaining efficient engine performance by synchronizing the rotation of an automotive engine crankshaft with the camshaft. This maintains the proper timing of the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves. The system comprises a timing chain guided by tensioners, levers, guides, and sprockets.
