Transneft' : The Innovation Development Programme of Transneft for 2017–2021 earns top rating among Russian fuel and energy companies

The Innovation Development Programme of Transneft for 2017-2021 was highly rated by the Interagency Group of Independent Experts among other fuel and energy companies of Russia.

On 7 October 2016, the rating results were presented at the meeting of the Interagency Commission for Technological Development at the Presidium of the Council for Economic Modernisation and Innovative Development under the President of the Russian Federation, chaired by Deputy Chairman and Member of the Board of the State Corporation 'Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)' Andrei Klepach.

The Innovation Development Programme of Transneft for 2017-2021 was rated by the Interagency Group of Independent Experts at the level of 97.15 % out of 100 %, which is one of the highest ratings among the companies partially owned by the government and the highest among the fuel and energy firms.

The document was developed with reference to the results of an independent technological audit and the Company's ongoing Innovation Development Programme until 2017. The work was performed in full compliance with the requirements of the Russian Government's methodological guidelines and materials.

More than 70 recommendations and proposals of independent experts and Russian Ministries of Economic Development, Energy, and Education & Science were taken into account in the course of the Transneft Innovation Development Programme preparation.

The resulting document corresponds to the goals and objectives of the Long-term Development Programme of Transneft: it is part of the Company's development strategy as regards ensuring reliability of the operated system of oil and petroleum product trunk pipelines, enhanced environmental and industrial safety of production facilities, and target labour productivity using state-of-the-art technologies, equipment, and materials.
