TransAKT Ltd. announced that it has entered into a partnership with Taiwan Flora Seed International Co. Ltd. Over cultivation of farm land has resulted in increased soil depletion and erosion. A comparison of U.S. Department of Agriculture nutritional data from both 1950 and 1999 for 43 different vegetables and fruits, shows "reliable declines" in the amount of protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, riboflavin (vitamin B2) and vitamin C. The fruits and vegetables are less nutritious now than they were fifty years ago.

To meet global demand for food conventional agriculture depends on the use of new varieties of crops, pesticides, and synthetic fertilizers to provide greater yield, pest resistance and climate adaptability, but also leave dangerous residues on the food produced. Washing and peeling may not be enough to keep family safe, as some pesticides are absorbed into the plants tissues. The good news is that using TransAKT's hydroponic technologies, don't need pesticides to grow fruits and vegetables.

TransAKT is focused on eliminating the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides through the use of the latest hydroponic agricultural technology and pure nutrients. The nutrient solutions used in production with TransAKT's hydroponic systems leave no heavy metal and chemical residues.
