Focusing on the needs of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Qatar, Commercialbank partnered with College of North Atlantic, Qatar (CNAQ) and hosted a customer workshop for its Enterprise customers at the Commercialbank Majlis at the Doha Golf Club. The workshop touched upon opportunities and challenges that SMEs may face, as well as how they can expand their business sustainably in light of the high foreign and local investment currently being witnessed in Qatar.

The second of the series, these workshops are a testament of Commercialbank's commitment to SME growth and development, in line with the country's 2030 vision. Commercialbank realises that SMEs are an essential component of the country's economic future and diversification strategy, and therefore is committed to organise events and workshops to support their growth and development, in addition to providing them with comprehensive banking and technology solutions.

The workshop, conducted by Jaywant Michael,  Executive Director, Centre for Banking and Financial Studies, CNAQ, focused on building upon the strength of teams with a keen emphasis on active thinking within SMEs, as well as addressing techniques to maximise team work and coordination efforts within smaller organisations. Dr. Ken McLeod, President, of CNAQ also welcomed the participants and advised them on the various offerings and facilities available to SMEs at CNAQ. He lauded the efforts of Commercialbank, which offers a wide range of financial services to support the Bank's SME customers through Enterprise Banking.

"Commercialbank strives to be considered as an extension of a SME's team and is dedicated to encouraging their entrepreneurial success; therefore the Bank provides a range of bespoke products and services under the umbrella of Enterprise Banking that caters specifically to SMEs," said Kenneth Clark, Head of Enterprise Banking, Commercialbank.

He added, "I would like to thank the College of North Atlantic, Qatar, for delivering a workshop of such high quality on SME growth, team work, strength building and coordination.  We look forward to further developing this partnership with the College and working closely and jointly with them in the near future."

Commercialbank frequently holds such workshops to endow SMEs with the knowledge to help them grow and succeed within their respective industries because the Bank believes SMEs will drive the next growth wave in Qatar.
