Tesla Motors, Inc. announced production results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2016. For the fourth quarter, the company's vehicle production was 24,882 vehicles. The company delivered 22,200 vehicles against 24,500 vehicles delivered last year, which also missed the 25,000 mean estimate of analysts. For the year, the company's vehicle production was 82,822 vehicles. Full-year production was up 64% relative to 2015. The company delivered 76,230 vehicles against 50,580 units last year. The figure also fell short of Tesla's own guidance for 79,000 deliveries, which was lowered from an initial guidance of 80,000 units to 90,000 units set in February.
