Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. said Monday that its third-quarter net profit rose 11% from a year earlier, driven by growth in the retail business.

The Indian information-technology services company said net profit for the quarter ended Dec. 31 rose to 108.46 billion Indian rupees ($1.32 billion) from INR97.69 billion a year earlier. That came just short of an estimate of INR110.26 billion taken from a FactSet poll of analysts.

Third-quarter revenue increased 14% at constant currency to INR582.29 billion from INR488.85 billion a year earlier. The retail & consumer packaged goods division booked the highest revenue growth at 19%, Tata Consultancy said.

The company declared an interim dividend of INR8 a share plus a special dividend of INR67 a share, to be paid on Feb. 3.
