Press Release FNAC reduces its incidents resolution time by three with Systar's WideVision Alert ST. CLOUD, France and Vienna, VA, March 11th, 2014 - Systar (ISIN: FR0000052854-SAR), a leading provider of Operational Intelligence software, today announced that FNAC (ISIN: FR0011476928-FNAC), the leading French retail distributor of entertainment and leisure products, has implemented Systar's WideVision Alert in order to monitor its IT operations according to business priorities, which enabled them to reduce the incident resolution time by three.

With 45 million checkouts per year and major customer peaks during Christmas holidays, the requirements for the availability of the IT services are particularly important for FNAC. Despite existing tools, the supervision proved to be insufficient. "We lacked visibility and had a multitude of alerts displayed on 14 different supervision consoles. In case of an incident, we were not able to provide truly useful information to store managers." Said Daniel Richard, IT Production and Operations Director.
FNAC has therefore chosen WideVision Alert to federate the information reported by its technical supervision tools (SCOM, Tivoli, and Nagios) and gain a comprehensive and consistent analysis of the business impact of technical incidents. "A problem that is solved is not only a technical issue which has been identified and treated but a store which becomes fully functional again." added Daniel Richard.
WideVision Alert captures the alerts coming from all the technical components, normalizes, enriches and prioritizes them to provide a global view on a single screen that enables users to process these events according to their business impact. "Through this hypervisor we gained in responsiveness and understanding of problems while reducing the incidents' resolution time."
Indeed, responsiveness to incidents was improved by 50% while the incidents' resolution time was divided by three. Communication with internal customers has also been improved. "Today, when a store manager calls us about a problem, we are able to say that the incident is already taken into account and provide specific information on the situation with the estimated resolution time. We have reached a level of professionalism that reassures our internal customers. "
"We are very pleased to count FNAC among our customers and help them to move from a technical supervision to a homogeneous hypervision of their IT according to business priorities" said Guy Kuster, Chief Executive Officer of Systar. "By reducing the number of IT incidents on a daily basis and managing them according to their business impact through WideVision Alert, FNAC is at the forefront of operational excellence."
