Sysco Corporation announced earnings results for the month ended November 2012. For the period, the company's sales increased 4.7% to $11.1 billion. Operating income decreased 6%.

The company appointed Mike Davis, who was serving as Sysco West Texas president, was promoted to president. Davis joined Sysco in 2000 as part of the company's acquisition of Watson Foodservice Inc. David DeVane was promoted to market president of the southwest region for Sysco. Previously, DeVane had served as president of Sysco Houston since 2010. In his new role, he will oversee all southwest region broadline operations, which includes Arkansas, Central Texas, East Texas, Houston, New Orleans, North Texas, Oklahoma and West Texas.
