Sprintex Ltd (ASX:SIX) MD Jay Upton tells Proactive the company has received an initial order for high-speed electric fuel cell compressors from blue chip engineering consultancy Ricardo UK Limited. The order is part of a European Union Government funded initiative called the Sustainable Hydrogen Powered Shipping Project which aims to support the decarbonisation of the shipping industry.

Sprintex Limited is an Australia-based clean air compressor engineering, research, product development, and manufacturing company. The Company designs and manufactures electric and mechanically driven clean air compressors for use in a range of applications, including combustion engines and supercharger systems incorporating the Sprintex twin screw supercharger, in the automotive aftermarket and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) markets in Australia, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the United States of America; hydrogen fuel cells, and industrial oil-free clean air applications, including wastewater treatment. Its products include Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Dodge Challenger V6, Dodge Charger V6, Chrysler 300 C/S V6, Ram 1500 V6, FT86/FRS/BRZ, Superchargers, e-Compressors, and Technical Bulletins. The Company is also designing an ultra-speed heating ventilation and air conditioning refrigerant compressor suitable for varied domestic and industrial heat pump applications.
