Spectris plc (LSE:SXS) is looking for M&A. During the company?s first quarter results conference call, Andrew Heath, Chief Executive Officer said that ?Our strong balance sheet, further strengthened by the proceeds from the sale of Red Lion, continues to provide capital allocation optionality, fueling investments in organic growth through high levels of R&D, but also, importantly, compounded growth through targeted M&A?. ?In M&A, we have seen an increase in activity levels in 2024, and we're encouraged by the strength of the acquisition pipeline, which allows us to compound growth, hopefully, further into the future?. ?we also have an exciting pipeline of potential M&A opportunities?.
