SINCLAIR NAMES JOHN SEABERS GROUP MANAGER

San Antonio, TX (January 4, 2012) - Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced that John Seabers has been promoted to Group Manager. Mr. Seabers will be responsible for the oversight of nine television stations in six markets. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair's television group.

In making the announcement, Mr. Marks said, "We are pleased to promote John to Group Manager. He has a history of success in San Antonio. We look forward to the additional insights he can bring to his new group of stations based on his 30 years of TV operating and sales experience, including managing two-station markets and news operations."

I look forward to sharing some of the successful strategies we have used to make KABB and KMYS such strong stations over the last decade."

Mr. Seabers has served as General Manager for Sinclair's KABB (FOX 29) and KMYS (CW 35) in San Antonio since 1999. Prior to that, he held various sales management positions for the NBC station in the market, including General Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager. Mr. Seabers has over 30 years experience in media sales, of which 27 years have been in television.
