Dmax begins filming a new local production about current police newsThe filming of the new series, an in-house production by Dmax, starts tomorrow in Madrid. With Secuoya Contenidos as collaborators, it will air on the channel in the autumn. This ambitious project will focus on the daily work of those who put their lives at risk to protect the safety of all others.

'Control de Fronteras', 'Wild Frank en California',' 'Clandestino', 'Tanto Porciento'...Dmax never stops. After having already launched four new in-house production series', the channel begins filming of the newest project: a series committed to the most exciting hot news. This new series, produced in collaboration with Grupo Secuoya, will show the daily work of various police units, from the viewpoint of the officers, who will be the protagonists and narrators of the action. Filming begins tomorrow with the challenge of accompanying the IRU (anti-riot unit) responsible for public safety during the football match between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid that takes place at Vicente Calderón stadium.

The series, which is expected to be released next autumn on DMAX, closely follows the work of the National Police, who put their lives at risk in order to protect the safety of all others. The project will show the dangerous struggles of these professionals as they fight against crime in all aspects: arrests, raids, identity checks, drug controls, assistance during serious accidents, etc. In addition, the police themselves will offer viewers practical safety tips that will be of great use to anyone who may at any time become a potential victim of a threatening situation.

From the very beginning, local production has been a mark of our channel's identity and it continues to be so. This new series delves into a genre that has become one of our pillars of programming, hot news, and has been met with a great reception from our audience, 'says Alejandro Flórez, Content Director of DMAX. 'Furthermore, as experts in this format, we are certain it will work, as our success with 'Border control', makes evident.

Each episode, will show the work of between six to eight police units, such as the person in charge of public security, anti-drug units and departments against organized crime, to show the work of the police from different angles.The way in which viewers will be able to peer in to see just how the police work will enhance the programme. In addition to the cameras that will film the programme, the police will be equipped with small devices, giving viewers the opportunity to subjectively participate in the action, adding more realism and action to the series.

For almost six months, the film crew will be there to track each of the interventions by the police, from beginning to end, highlighting the course of events that follow, once the spectacular action has passed. In this way, the programme will not only show risky situations, but delve much deeper, striving to satisfying viewers' curiosity regarding various issues. For example, viewers will find out what happens with drugs once they have been seized, how the CSI analyses the evidence they have obtained, to as well as many other situations that the general public are not normally privy to. During this entire process, the police officers address the camera in an unprecedented way, speaking intimately, sharing their motivations, their vocation and their assessment of the situations they are faced with.
