International real estate advisor Savills, on behalf of a private vendor has sold Whitehouse Leisure Park Ltd, on the outskirts of Towyn, North Wales to the Seldon family, the adjoining park operator (Seldon's Golden Gate). The park was sold by way of a shares transaction for the operating company, offered at a guide price of £8.5 million.

Extending to circa 18.5 acres (7.5 hectares), Whitehouse Leisure Park comprises 315 developed pitches, reception and amenity building used to accommodate an amusement arcade, snooker room, laundrette and shop. The park also features a popular club and restaurant, known as 'Jakes,' which fronts Towyn Road.

The park is located on the seaward side of the A548, on the North Wales coast. Planning permission and a site licence exist for 348 static caravans and lodges.

Robert Gale-Hasleham, director of leisure and trading services at Savills, comments:  "Whitehouse Leisure Park offered a superb opportunity to purchase a well-established caravan park, which is situated on the North Coast of Wales, a well-known holiday park destination. This was a major transaction and demonstrates the rising confidence in the holiday park market."

The purchaser was unrepresented.
