Samko Timber Limited reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of IDR 954,099 million compared to IDR 711,452 million a year ago. Profit before tax was IDR 12,614 million compared to loss before tax of IDR 27,757 million a year ago. Net profit for the period was IDR 13,273 million compared to loss for the period of IDR 32,058 million a year ago. Net profit attributable to owners of the company was IDR 13,284 million against the net loss attributable to owners of the company of IDR 30,558 million a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share were IDR 6 compared to loss per share of IDR 13 a year ago. For the six months, the company reported revenue of IDR 1,978,752 million compared to IDR 1,557,167 million a year ago. Profit before tax was IDR 58,734 million compared to loss before tax of IDR 45,550 million a year ago. Net profit for the period was IDR 43,569 million compared to net loss for the period of IDR 47,499 million a year ago. Net profit attributable to owners of the company was IDR 44,374 million against the net loss attributable to owners of the company of IDR 44,647 million a year ago. This was due mainly to higher sales volume and better overall pricing achieved and the gain on disposal of assets held for sale (factory and land), offset by higher exchange loss incurred during the period, while the losses for first half of 2017 included one off expense for the Group's re-organisation exercise. Net cash flows used in operating activities was IDR 22,635 million compared to IDR 62,799 million a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was IDR 23,223 million compared to IDR 13,437 million a year ago. Additions of biological assets was IDR 45 million compared to IDR 83 million a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share were IDR 19 compared to loss per share of IDR 19 a year ago. Net asset value per ordinary share as of June 30, 2018 was IDR 53.
